Welcome to The Larches. Our beautiful historic Inn graces 5 acres of southeastern Massachusetts' most scenic natural landscape. Set amongst towering, ancient pines in the heart of New England's cranberry country. The Larches evokes the simplicity, beauty and peace of an era forever frozen in time. Sleepy Carver, Massachusetts - a mere 40 minutes drive from Boston and 25 minutes from Cape Cod - still retains its early 1900s look and feel. Explore the beauty and solitude of the woods, the silence and natural delights of Sampson's Pond, or simply sit on the spacious double back porch of the Victorian Inn and enjoy the sweet smell of spring, a warm summer breeze, or the magnificent foliage of autumn. A Place of Elegance and Distinction The Inn is an authentic Victorian house built in 1860 by wealthy Bostonian George Bowers. The sole remaining Halsonite style home in the area, this 12-room mansion features curved interior walls, massive wooded doors, and a majestic double entry foyer yielding to a graciously curling newel-posted balustrade. Renovated and restored by New York interior designer Rain Phillips, The Larches artfully reflects a unique blend of New England antiquity and contemporary elegance. The house is furnished with a rare collection of antiques and original art from generations of Ms. Phillip's family. Designer fabrics and wallpaper adorn all rooms and hallways. The Inn also showcases a selection of hand-made furniture. Savor a breakfast of freshly juiced fruits or vegetables, natural and herbal teas, and home baked whole grain breads. Our fresh eggs from our very own Araucana chickens, which are blue in color and low in cholesterol enhance your mealtime pleasure. And when the technology is needed for work - or desired for entertainment - we provide wireless internet access throughout the Inn. |
